Eco-Friendly Award by ACS Canada
The ACS Canada Eco-Friendly Award recognizes organizations that embed eco-design and sustainability into products and operations, achieving verified reductions in environmental impact while creating business value.
What the award recognizes

Eligibility
Open to manufacturers, service organizations, public bodies, and SMEs operating in Canada or with Canadian sites. Projects must show at least 12 months of evidence for environmental performance improvements or verified program rollout.
How entries are evaluated
- Impact: year-over-year performance data (e.g., water, waste, GHG, energy)
- Integrity: methods, baselines, and third-party evidence where applicable
- Integration: how improvements are embedded into processes and culture
- Innovation: new materials, technologies, or circular business models
- Transparency: goals, KPIs, and clear public communication
Award levels
- Recognized: strong foundation and verified initial results
- Merit: significant, multi-site results with mature controls and reporting
- Excellence: industry-leading outcomes and replicable best practices
Submission and timeline
- Submit a summary of initiatives, scope, and 12-month metrics
- Include supporting documents: policies, training, audits, and KPI dashboards
- ACS review, clarifications, and verification as needed
- Announcement of awardees and media kit provided
