ACS Canada provides Vulnerability Assessment and Critical Control Point (VACCP) Approval services for food manufacturers, food processors, ingredient suppliers, packaging companies, importers, exporters, logistics providers, retailers, and food service organizations seeking independent review of food fraud prevention programs, vulnerability assessments, supply chain controls, authenticity practices, and supporting documentation.
VACCP is a risk-based methodology designed to identify, assess, and reduce vulnerabilities related to food fraud, economically motivated adulteration, ingredient substitution, mislabeling, dilution, counterfeiting, and supply chain integrity risks. VACCP Approval helps organizations demonstrate effective food fraud prevention through supplier evaluation, raw material risk assessment, authenticity controls, traceability, monitoring activities, corrective actions, and continual improvement.
ACS Canada recommends combining VACCP Approval with ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System, HACCP, TACCP, GMP, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, and supplier approval programs to strengthen food authenticity, supply chain integrity, customer confidence, regulatory readiness, and market acceptance.
