ACS Canada provides Threat Assessment and Critical Control Point (TACCP) Approval services for food manufacturers, food processors, packaging companies, ingredient suppliers, logistics providers, retailers, and food service organizations seeking independent review of food defense programs, intentional contamination prevention measures, threat assessments, vulnerability controls, security practices, and supporting documentation.
TACCP is a risk-based methodology designed to identify, assess, and mitigate intentional threats to food products, production facilities, ingredients, personnel, and supply chains. TACCP Approval helps organizations demonstrate effective food defense planning through systematic threat assessment, implementation of preventive controls, security management, personnel awareness, supplier evaluation, incident response planning, and continual improvement.
ACS Canada recommends combining TACCP Approval with ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System, HACCP, VACCP, GMP, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, and food defense programs to strengthen food security, supply chain protection, regulatory readiness, customer confidence, and business resilience.
