About ISO/IEC 27018
ISO/IEC 27018 is the first international standard focusing on the protection of personally identifiable information (PII) in public cloud computing environments. It builds on ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27002, providing privacy-specific controls and implementation guidance for:
- Ensuring cloud customer data privacy and consent management
- Handling PII in accordance with applicable regulations
